The bride should put her right hand on the handle of the cake knife and the groom should put his hand over hers. Cut into the bottom tier of the cake, carefully making two triangular cuts. You will then use the other piece of cutlery that comes with the cake knife set, called the "server" to carefully remove the slice. And Voila! A piece of cake!
