Tip #1
Ask your florist if there is an additional cost for someone from the florist
to be present before the ceremony on your wedding day to pin boutonnieres,
corsages, and distribute bouquets. Of course, if you are hiring
a Professional Wedding Planner, and we strongly suggest that every
bride does, you won't need to bother inquiring as to whether the florist
will be there to assist.
Tip #2
The Centerpieces at your reception should either be above or below eye
level if you want your guests to be able to see each other across the
table. Otherwise, your guests will be constantly be looking around
the arrangement to visit with other guest.
Tip #3
Boutonnieres are worn on the left side of lapel, and should be pinned under the
lapel so the pin doesn't show.
Tip #4
Don't forget to talk to your florist about a bouquet for your bridal
portraits. Since your portraits are taken in advance of the wedding
day, this makes for a great Adress-rehearsal@ for everything, including
your bouquet.
A Green Tip
Once the reception is over, make arrangements with a friend or a relative
to take the centerpieces, donated bouquets, and other floral arrangements
made for your wedding to a nearby Assisted Living Home or Nursing Home
to be used as centerpieces on their dining room tables for the residents
to enjoy.
